Target Audience:    This course is designed for clinicians who see patients who have or are at risk for acquiring hepatitis B virus (HBV) or hepatitis C virus (HCV).  

Course Description:  Lectures will cover current epidemiology, screening and treatment recommendations for hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, including recommendations for managing hepatitis co-infections.  (HBV-HIV, HCV-HIV AND HBV-HCV).  

Course Objectives: After attending this program, participants should be able to: 1) describe current epidemiological patterns of HBV and HCV infections; 2)  describe current treatment recommendations and laboratory follow-up for HBV and HCV infections; 3) discuss clinical symptoms and management of patients with hepatitis co-infections.
